
The Institute for Food Safety, Animal Health and the Environment BIOR participates in the Baltic Sea Neighbourhood Programme project SAPRO-BAL (“Shared Approaches and Platform with Resources for Oomycetes diagnostics and surveillance in the Baltic Sea region”), funded by the Swedish Institute.
The project aims to strengthen national and regional surveillance in the Baltic Sea region by creating a shared resource platform to improve the diagnosis of Saprolegnia pathogens in salmonids. The project promotes opportunities for joint funding and fosters closer collaboration between national authorities and other participating institutions. It opens up opportunities for further cooperation among the participating countries, promoting the exchange of experiences, joint research development, and the creation of a sustainable cooperative network.
