The main decision-making body of the Scientific Institute of Food Safety, Animal Health and Environment “BIOR” is the Scientific Council, which is composed of scientists from the main research areas – veterinary medicine, food and environment, fisheries.

The Scientific Council is elected for a five-year term at the General Meeting of the Institute’s scientists.
The Scientific Council shall approve the Institute’s strategy for its activities and development, determine the directions of the Institute’s activities, elect the Director of the Institute, other officials and persons holding academic posts.
