Baltic citizens invited to take part in a unique scientific study on dietary supplement use

Public engagement in science is an opportunity to create new knowledge together!

Residents of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia are invited to take part in a unique scientific study being conducted simultaneously across all three Baltic States.
The aim of this survey is to explore and compare dietary supplement consumption and purchasing habits, as well as the motivations behind their use.

Why is your participation important?

Your input will help researchers and public health professionals:

  • Gain deeper insight into how and why dietary supplements are used in the Baltic region;
  • Identify common trends and differences between the countries;
  • Provide more targeted and effective recommendations for the public.

Even if you are not currently using dietary supplements, your answers are valuable and welcome.

Quick facts about the survey:

  • Takes approximately 10 minutes to complete
  • Completely anonymous — results will be analysed only in aggregated form
  • Open to all adults in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia

Who is conducting the study?

The research is carried out by the Latvian Institute of Food Safety, Animal Health and Environment “BIOR”,
in cooperation with the Lithuanian Food and Veterinary Service and the Estonian National Centre for Laboratory Research and Risk Assessment (LABRIS).

Take part and contribute to science!

This is a rare opportunity to be involved in a large-scale regional study that supports better public health decisions in the Baltic States.
