During the 10th period (01.04.2021.-30.06.2021.):
Participation in online mobility activities has ended. Three online training courses organized by the Technical University of Lappeenranta (Finland) – Knowledge Discovery and Process Data Analysis, Nano and Hybrid Materials, and Environmental and Industrial Analytics. The total workload of all courses – 390 h.
An extensive work on the review (previously intended as a chapter in Elsevier’s book) has been almost completed (95 % workload completed) title of the review article – Magnetic adsorbents for effective removal and recovery of rare earth elements from aqueous solutions: A systematic and critical review. The article provides information on magnetic adsorbents for the adsorption of rare earth metals, including a detailed overview of the analytical methods used in the research – thermogravimetry, SEM, TEM, XRD, FTIR, VSM.
Participation with a short presentation in the experience exchange and networking event for project applicants and Latvian science diaspora, organized by the Latvian Council of Science.
A list of literature on magnetic adsorbents and recovery of rare earth metals has been created and published – shorturl.at/dJMXY.
The cooperating institution – The State Education Development Agency (SEDA). The duration of the project – 36 months. Total costs – 133 805.88 EUR, of which 85% (113 734.98 EUR) is financed by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
