Progress report of the sixth period of the post-doctoral research project 1.1.2/VIAA/1/16/204

During the six stage of the Project of European Regional Development Fund “1.1.1.2. “Post-doctoral research aid” “One Health” multidisciplinary approaches for epidemiology and prevention of selected parasitic zoonosis (OMEPPAZ), (1.1.1.2/VIAA/1/16/204)” senior researcher Dr. boil. Gunita Deksne were implementing following actions:

1) From 7th to 18th January, the leading researcher Gunita Deksne took part in a mobility visit to the partner National Veterinary Institute (SVA, Uppsala, Sweden) to learn how to use modern Cryptosporidium spp. molecular differentiation and genotyping methods. During the mobility visit, practical trainings were organized, samples collected during the post-doctoral research were analyzed, discussions on further progress of relevant research and promotion of further cooperation between institutes were organized.

2) The results of the postdoctoral research were presented at several conferences: the 77th International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia; COST shares FA1408 Closing Conference; At the International Scientific Conference of Riga Stradinš University, as well as short reports on the results of the research were prepared and reported to their end users (practicing veterinarians, preventive medicine specialists).
