Main activities during the 2st period (01.04.2019-30.06.2019):
A review article ” Agricultural biomass /waste as adsorbents for toxic metal decontamination of aqueous solutions ” has been prepared and submitted for publication in the “Journal of Molecular Liquids” (1st Quarterly Journal).
A research visit to the Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT has taken place (within the international mobility).
Several articles have been prepared and published on the web site www.biosorption.info
Participation in the international conference “17th International Conference on Chemistry and the Environment” took place, and a poster presentation about rare earth biosorbents “The removal of rare earth elements (REEs) by biosorbents: A bibliographic analysis and systematic review of recent studies” was presented.
Collected biosorbents have been analyzed (metal concentration, ash content, organic matter content), as well as and potato juice (metal concentration).
Scientific articles on the characterization and use of potato fruit water have been compiled. Preparation of the article on the mentioned subject has been started.
The cooperating institution – The State Education Development Agency (SEDA). The duration of the project – 36 months. Total costs – 133 805.88 EUR, of which 85% (113 734.98 EUR) is financed by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
