Main activities of the 9th period (01.10.-31.12.2019):
In the framework of WP2, research studies on mycotoxin content in agricultural crops grown in Latvia was continued: a set of more than 100 samples of different of grain and pulse varieties were received from AREI institute, e.g., Stende, Priekuļi and Vilani centres for the mycotoxin analysis. Recent scientific literature on mycotoxin prevalence in the selected types of test crops was evaluated.
The scientific article “Occurrence and dietary exposure assessment of mycotoxins, biogenic amines and heavy metals in mould-ripened blue cheeses” was re-submitted to open access scientific journal(https://www.mdpi.com/journal/foods) “Foods” (M 3.3 result of the WP3).
A poster “Screening studies and exposure estimation of mycotoxins presented in different varieties of Camellia sinensis collected in Latvia” was presented at the international scientific conference World Mycotoxin Forum 2019 in Belfast, October 14-16, 2019. (Completed M 3.6 of the WP3: Conference theses).
