Main activities during the 1st period (01.01.2019-31.03.2019):

• A review on the use of biosorbents for the removal of pollutants has been completed.
• A career development plan has been prepared.
• Basic training on the use of ICP-MS equipment and sample preparation has been completed.
• Participation in a networking event “How to succeed in science”. Organizer – Association of Latvian Young Scientists.
• Participation in an online seminar “How to write a lay summary”. Organizer – Elsevier Researcher Academy.
• Samples of biosorbents collected.

The cooperating institution – The State Education Development Agency (SEDA). The duration of the project – 36 months. Total costs – 133 805.88 EUR, of which 85% (113 734.98 EUR) is financed by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
