On January 1, 2019, the Institute BIOR, in cooperation with the National Agency for Education Development (SEDA), launched a research application No. 1.1.1.2/VIAA/2/18/247 ” Ultra-high-resolution mass spectrometry as an effective tool for the analysis of food contamination: development of new analytical methods and application to real samples”. The project is implemented by leading researcher Dzintars Zacs.
During the first reference period (01.01.-31.03.2019) a review of scientific literature and information on methods of persistent organic pollutant analysis using high-resolution mass spectrometry will be performed. The latest scientific literature on sample preparation methods for selective and sensitive analysis of persistent organic pollutants in food will be gathered.
Cooperation institution SEDA. Project duration is 36 months. The total cost of the project is EUR 133 805.88, of which 85% (EUR 113 734.98) is the European Regional Development Fund.
