The 47th Symposium and Meeting of NORDIC SOCIETY FOR VETERINARY PATHOLOGY – For the First Time in Latvia
This summer, the Nordic Society for Veterinary Pathology (NSVP) in collaboration with the Scientific Institute “BIOR” is organizing the 47th NSVP Symposium and Meeting which will take place on June 12-13. For the first time this annual symposium which brings together veterinary pathologists from Nordic countries and Baltics will be held in Latvia.

A Platform for Knowledge Exchange and Practical Insights
The symposium serves as a platform for exchange of experiences among veterinary professionals. During the symposium participants present clinical cases from their practice, discuss the current challenges in veterinary pathology in their country, and share results of the latest research .

Symposium Topics
This year’s program focuses on two topics in veterinary medicine:

  • Forensic Veterinary Pathology
    (Lectures on June 12 at the Riga National Zoo, Zinarium Centre)
  • Neonatal Animal Diseases
    (Lectures on June 13 at BIOR, Lejupes iela 3, Riga)

Internationally Renowned Speakers
The symposium will feature experts from several European countries, including:

  • Prof. Dr. Lorenzo Ressel (UK) – one of the leading experts in forensic veterinary pathology
  • Dr. Sergejs Krasilnikovs and Dr. Jolanta Liepiņa (Latvia) – leading experts in human forensic medicine
  • Dr. Angelika von Heimendahl (UK) – leading expert in canine reproduction
  • Dr. John Mee (Ireland) and Prof. Dr. Jørgen Steen Agerholm (Denmark) – leading experts in large animal neonatal diseases and reproduction

Broad Professional Representation
The symposium will gather veterinary pathologists, scientists, university lecturers, and national laboratory professionals from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland.
Remote participation will be available for veterinarians across the Baltic region.
