The Institute “BIOR” takes an important place in the state supervision system of food circulation and animal infection diseases by taking samples and performing their laboratory – diagnostic examinations. The laboratories of the Institute “BIOR” have already been making the diagnostics of animal infection diseases and laboratory examinations of animal infection diseases since 1940. With the perfection of food circulation supervision system, the control over food products was initiated in the country and laboratory examinations were performed with regard to the environment, environmental sanitary hygiene, veterinary medicine, pharmaceutical products, and the circulation of the food of animal and plant origin. Since 2006, the laboratory has been performing the examinations in focuses of bacterial infection diseases and the microbiological diagnostic analysis of human diseases.
