Progress report of the fifth stage of the project Nr.1.1.1.2/VIAA/2/18/247

On January 1, 2019, the BIOR institute, in cooperation with the National Agency for Education Development (SEDA), launched a research application No. 1.1.1.2/VIAA/2/18/247 " Ultra-high-resolution mass spectrometry as an effective tool for the analysis of food contamination: development of new analytical methods and application to real samples". The project is implemented by leading researcher Dzintars Zacs.

During the reference period from 01.01.2020 to 31.03.2020, an analytical methods were developed for the analysis of persistent organic contaminants in foodstuffs using high-resolution mass spectrometry.

Food analysis was performed using previously developed analytical methods. The obtained data were summarized and a publication was prepared for submission in the scientific journal.

In cooperation with the partner institution, the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, a mobility program (six weeks) was implemented, within the framework of which the methods of analysis of new food contaminants were developed in cooperation with the specialists of the partner institution.

Cooperation institution SEDA. Project duration is 36 months. The total cost of the project is EUR 133 805.88, of which 85% (EUR 113 734.98) is the European Regional Development Fund.
