Topicalities of the second stage of the project Nr.1.1.1.2/VIAA/2/18/247 „ Ultra-high-resolution mass spectrometry as an effective tool for the analysis of food contamination: development of new analytical methods and application to real samples”
On January 1, 2019, the BIOR institute, in cooperation with the National Agency for Education Development (SEDA), launched a research application No. 1.1.1.2/VIAA/2/18/247 " Ultra-high-resolution mass spectrometry as an effective tool for the analysis of food contamination: development of new analytical methods and application to real samples". The project is implemented by leading researcher Dzintars Zacs.
During the reference period from 01.10.2020 to 31.12.2020 verification of developed analytical methods and analyses of food products was performed. Observed data were summarized and systematized .
One publication on the occurrence polychlorinated naphtalenes in food products was considered, corrected and accepted for publication in the Chemosphere journal (IF=5.78):
- D. Zacs, I. Perkons, E.Pasecnaja, V.Bartkevics, 2021. Polychlorinated naphthalenes (PCNs) in food products in Latvia: Congener-specific analysis, occurrence, and dietary exposure of the general population. Chemosphere, 264, 128460.
Cooperation institution SEDA. Project duration is 36 months. The total cost of the project is EUR 133 805.88, of which 85% (EUR 113 734.98) is the European Regional Development Fund.
